☀️ Dried Tomatoes: Little Jewels of the Mediterranean
Sundried tomatoes are a versatile and delicious ingredient that can turn even the simplest dish into a true culinary experience. Thanks to their intense and concentrated flavour, they bring with them all the warmth of the southern Italian sun.
Their preparation follows an ancient process: the tomatoes are cut in half, lightly salted and left to dry slowly in the sun or in an oven. This traditional method not only preserves the nutrients, but also enhances the sweet and sour notes of the tomatoes, making them perfect for enriching sauces, salads, pizzas, sandwiches, focaccia and much more.
But they are not limited to savoury cuisine: some creative chefs also use them in sweet and sour preparations or even in desserts, combining them with honey and mature cheeses. The contrast of flavours can really surprise.
On our e-commerce you can find dried tomatoes in oil, flavoured with garlic, oregano, basil or chilli. Each version contains a different story, flavour and use in the kitchen. And with the quality guaranteed by Agropuglia, you can be sure that you are bringing only the best of the Mediterranean tradition to your table.

🌿 The Legend of the Sun and Tomatoes
An Apulian legend has it that, during a summer of great drought, the farmers begged the sun not to abandon them. The sun, touched by such devotion, decided to stay. In return, he donated some of his warmth to the fruits of the earth: tomatoes.
Since then, every sun-dried tomato retains the memory of that season and becomes a symbol of resilience, gratitude and abundance. That is why in Apulia, sun-dried tomatoes are not just ingredients, but little treasure troves of history and flavour.
